B.R.I.D.G.E. - Transitional/Re-entry Services
B.R.I.D.G.E. Program services are available to individuals currently in a residential substance use disorder treatment facility. Through partnering with other agencies, the Program Coordinator is able to complement clinical treatment plans by delivering a curriculum designed to empower individuals to succeed outside of a completely structured environment.
A recommendation for the B.R.I.D.G.E. Program from clinicians must be included in the client's treatment plan and then a referral can be made to Burke Recovery.
MAKING A REFERRAL
Referrals can be made by calling the Program Coordinator at 828.433.1221 or completing the online referral form through the Burke Recovery website HERE.
In coordination with Catawba Valley Behavioral Health and the Burke County Sheriff's Department, the B.R.I.D.G.E. Program is delivered in the Burke County Jail to both men and women. Classes are delivered up to twice a week with an emphasis on steps 1-4 of the 12 steps.
An individual in this track can be referred to the Outpatient Track upon release as determined by their treatment provider and the Catawba Valley Behavioral Health Population Health Coordinator.
We do not walk in front... we do not walk behind... we walk beside.
Individuals engaged in outpatient substance use disorder treatment are also eligible for the B.R.I.D.G.E. Program. Even though they are currently engaged with the community, the focus of this track of the Program is to ensure they have a personal recovery plan (including a Wellness Recovery Action Plan).
Individuals are encouraged to meet with the Coordinator regularly and maintain consistent contact. Individuals transitioning from a residential program into outpatient treatment can continue their involvement in the B.R.I.D.G.E. Program by transferring to this track.
The length of time an individual is engaged in this program is determined by the referring treatment provider, the Program Coordinator, and the individual.
It can often be overwhelming for a recovering individual to go back into the community - life is different with recovery and that transition can be intimidating.
